This will be the topic of Francine Brevetti’s chat with Internet radio host Joyce Buford on Tuesday, January 29 at 7 a.m. PST; 9 a.m. CT and 10 a.m. EST.

Log in at http://toginet.com/shows/secondwind.

Joyce is a coach and public speaker, www.JoyceBufordempowers.com, whose mission is to help women in transition recover their genius.

She will be asking Francine how she serves people as their ghostwriter or book coach; what obstacles to writing she finds among clients; and how they overcome these.

What are the greatest joys of writing your book — will be another topic she will explore.

Joyce will also draw Francine out on the books that she’s written under her own name, especially her latest, Cat Naps and Doggie Snorts.

Francine will explain how she came to write this book and what she has learned about people and their relationship with animals.

January 27 at the Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland

My friend, Pat Sullivan, author and coach, is offering a series of talks on subjects close to the heart of those over 50 years of age. Pat leads the series on Tuesday, January 27 with the topic “Re-Genius Yourself” – a stimulating exercise in re-discovering the creativity we were born with. She says:

“All of us were born loaded with many elements of genius. I have been blessed to experience, witness and sometimes facilitate their recovery. I also had learned a lot about how and why we lose access to our treasures out of fear, shame, trauma or non-use.”

February 24, grief expert Dr. Michelle Peticolas will speak on the path “From Grief to Grace and Gratitude.”

I, Francine Brevetti, will appear on March 24 speaking on “To Get Healthy, Get Cozy with Your Animals.” I will be selling copies of my book, Cat Naps and Doggie Snorts.

These events will be held from 11:30 AM to 1 PM and a light lunch will be served, compliments of Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland.

Future talks will address developing leadership and mindful money management.
To register call 510-530-0284. For more information on this and future talks, log onto www.geniusagain.com/events.

Come Join THE WRITERS PLAYGROUND
Where are you stuck in your writing project?

Say you have questions about writing. Your own writing – material you’ve already written or want to write. Marketing copy or a book or…?

Could you use a shot of creative brainstorming, new ideas and recommendations from an author and journalist? Maybe it’s time to join the Writers Playground.
You may just want to chew your questions over with an experienced writer and author. Here’s your chance at a very low price.

I’m a nonfiction writer and lecturer. I have found that many people have questions about their writing but don’t know to whom to turn without joining a class.
As of Wednesday, February 4, I am launching a weekly conference call from 10 AM to 11 AM to discuss any blocks/confusions you may have; or you may simply need information about resources.

As the term The Writers Playground implies, we’re going to have fun, relax and hang loose. You will get:

  • solid advice and information
  • techniques and tips I have learned over years of experience in print media
  • incisive questions that will help you focus
  • the chance to breakthrough writers block
  • my encouragement and support
  • the support and respect of others in the group who may have the same issues

No question is too stupid!

You get this all for the fantastically low price of $50 a month if you sign up before February. Anyone who does so will pay $50 for any future month. If you sign up after February 4, the price goes up to $97 a month. Still an incredible value!
Invest in yourself, you’re worth it!

Let me know if you are interested and I will send you the conference call login. You can pay me through PayPal.
Another bonus: you’ll hear the sonorous comments of dog Dante and cat Mei Mei in the background. They love to edit.
