On November 22, join an inspiring group to commemorate and honor the animals in your life that have died.

The Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave. in Oakland, will hold a memorial event for those who grieve over the passing of their beloved pets.

A free event, Forever In My Heart, from 1 PM to 4 PM, will offer attendees the opportunity to share portraits and mementos of their departed animal friends.

Speakers will include Jill Goodfriend, a grief recovery specialist, Rev. Nancy Schluntz, animal chaplain and animal communicator, as well as Francine Brevetti, pet author and cosponsor of this event.

Besides the remarks of these experts, there will be breakout sessions to discuss the difficult decisions to make before an animal dies and those after. This will be a great time to share stories.

Vendors of pet related products and services will also display their offerings.

For more information/questions, contact Allison Rodman, Chapel of the Chimes  community consultant at 510 593-6978.
